Ceramic Lampholder

With its new lampholder-variant '800 high' and the standard-lampholder 869, B+W introduces 100% compatible lampholders for lamp types PGJ5 and GU6.5.

Both lampholders measure the same external diameter, provide an identical foot print and position the light centre of the lamp at exactly the same height. This compatibility feature allows using either lamp type in identical optical units without any mechanical modifications.

This lampholder has been developed in conjunction with Philips to form a unique system. With the 831 lampholder it is now possible to retrofit an existing low voltage luminaire with a HID lamp without a complete redesign. All that is needed is an earth terminal for protection purposes.
